<p>Il regista Alejandro G. Iñárritu presiederà la <strong>giuria</strong> che si occuperà di assegnare i premi più importanti, compresa l&#8217;ambita <strong>Palma d&#8217;oro.</strong></p>
<p>L&#8217;anno scorso la presidente era stata l’attrice Cate Blanchett e la Palma d&#8217;oro venne assegnata al film giapponese Un affare di famiglia.</p>

<p><strong> Il manifesto dell&#8217;edizione del Festival di Cannes</strong> di quest&#8217;anno, la 72esima, è un omaggio alla regista Agnès Varda, morta il 29 marzo.</p>

<p>l film di apertura del festival sarà The Dead Don’t Die di Jim Jarmush e durante il festival sarà presentato, fuori concorso, il film Rocketman, su Elton John. Tra i registi più famosi con un film in concorso per la Palma d’oro ci sono Pedro Almodovar, Xavier Dolan, Ken Loach e Terrence Malick. In concorso ci sarà anche il film italiano Il traditore: è diretto da Marco Bellocchio e Pierfrancesco Favino interpreta Tommaso Buscetta.</p>
